Dental Bonding Procedure in North Vancouver, BC
If you are searching for a great way to improve your smile and confidence, you should consider dental bonding in North Vancouver at Peak Dental Arts.
Dental bonding is a procedure in which tooth-coloured resin is applied to the surface of teeth to improve your smile. Bonding is an alternative to porcelain veneers that can be used to fix teeth that are chipped, cracked, discoloured or misarranged. Bonding can also be used to increase the size of teeth and correct issues such as gaps.
This is one of Dr. Omar Virani’s favourite procedures to do as it combines art and science in perfect harmony. Hand sculpting bonding resin is an incredible technique and sensitive procedure and in order for it to look natural and last long, extreme attention to detail is required.
How does teeth bonding work?
Dental bonding involves minimal downtime and does not require anesthesia unless you have an old restoration or there is tooth decay. Before the resin is applied, we will use a conditioning gel to roughen the teeth. Our North Vancouver dentists will then apply the composite resin and cure it using an ultraviolet light. Once the resin has been cured, we will shape and polish it to achieve the desired appearance.
Advantages of dental bonding
Bonding is relatively inexpensive when compared to other cosmetic dental procedures. Unlike crowns and veneers, dental bonding can be completed in one visit. Bonding also requires minimal tooth reduction.
